I started my journey into the medical field 12 years ago when I became a medical assistant, I have dedicated the past 5 years to working in the Reproductive endocrinology field as an IVF coordinator working closely with families/ individuals starting their families through natural ovulation cycles, IUI (Intrauterine insemination), IVF ( In vitro fertilization), FET ( Frozen embryo Transfer). I took my first doula training with DONA International and decided to take a deeper dive with a 6-month doula training. I then began my lactation consultant journey pathway 3 and started working with Breastfeed LA the breastfeeding task force for Los Angeles, I work closely with the clinical director as their TA in our Lactation education cohorts. I had the great honor to complete a part of my clinical hours at Eisner Women's health a community clinic in downtown LA that is partnered with California and MLK Hospital. Currently, I am a Midwife resident at Mind Body Birth and wellness center where I am working closely with my preceptor and other student midwives in the heart of down town LA providing safe-centered midwifery care. I am enrolled in my first year at Midwives College of Utah for my Bachelor of Science in Midwifery.

The journey into parenthood is a sacred one, filled with joy and deep transformation. It's an honor to be able to witness the strength and courage of birthing people as they embrace this incredible experience. Empowering the birthing person and their family during one of the most meaningful and significant moments of their lives is something I will always cherish.

As an indigenous birth keeper, I am passionate about bringing my cultural values and ancestral traditional practices and weaving them into my offerings. I recognize the importance of providing comprehensive care for birthing folks during pregnancy, labor, postpartum recovery, and breast/chestfeeding stages – all while being respectful of each family’s individual needs.

Hi Folks, thank you for being here!

I reside in Tongva Land known as Los Angeles. I am first generation my mother is from Guatemala and my father is from El Salvador we are descendants of the Maya people. I am a mother, daughter, partner, full-spectrum traditional birth worker, placenta encapsulator, certified lactation educator, lactation consultant student, IVF coordinator, aspiring Midwife, & founder of Sabiduría Birth and Lactation services.

My passion for reproductive rights and advocacy for birthing folks and babies was ignited when I became a mother at the age of 16. My birth experience was one that I will remember forever not just because it was the day I met my son but also because of how traumatic it was, this experience was the fire that ignited my purpose. I am a believer that all happens for a reason and that I had to face these things so that I could answer the calling of Midwifery.

“Sabiduría: in Spanish means wisdom, knowledge, learning and understanding, not only of oneself but also of others. It means using knowledge and understanding to attain balance, health, wellness, to reach goals and help others to do the same. Sabiduría states that healing and spiritual development are interconnected, that people can live life with meaning and purpose, that illness offers an opening for integration and personal growth and that life setbacks are opportunities for growth and self-improvement."
